Monster stuff is weird to me and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. I will die on that hill. THIS monster stuff?? Give me all of it and more. I will read this again, maybe a third time, before the year is up.

This series has caught my attention and I’m glad I finally read it but the letter at the end broke me

Listening to this was an experience. The narration leans fully into the intensity of the story, amplifying the obsession, the tension, and the emotional chaos at the heart of it. The pacing is relentless, the atmosphere thick with menace and desire.

This audiobook made battle scenes feel cinematic and intimate moments feel dangerously charged. I was equal parts shocked, enthralled, and deeply flustered. Not a casual listen. Absolutely unforgettable.

This was a ride, quite literally. I prefer book one "Kiss of the Basilisk" in this duet, where it also is more of a real storyline and not just smut. "Between Two Kings" felt a bit confusing storywise and just like a lot of convenient opportunities to write in A LOT of smut. So much i started laughing at some point. I do enjoy crazy dirty monster smut, but believe it or not, sometimes the storyline also matters even with monsters... Another thing that i got a bit annoyed by was the constant questioning by the MFC. Other than that, I liked it!
