Charlie North has neither the time nor the know-how for relationships, complications, or keeping someone happy. It's difficult enough to keep himself satisfied. He just needs something discreet without the hassle of connections. When he's slipped a business card to a club called Illusion, he has every intention of throwing it away, until...it starts burning a hole in his pocket.
He never expected the means to scratch an itch would turn into a wildfire of desire. The man behind the privacy panel leaves him craving more of the same—something he's never desired before. Will he get what he didn't know he was looking for?
Contains male chastity, coercion, sexual discovery, homophobic family member, and self-image issues.

This was definitely a complete divergence to this authors previous books. I went into it not reading the blurb and expecting much the same, so it definitely took me a bit to wrap my brain around it.
I think it has a target audience and you will either love it or hate it. It was super high steam (erotica) and fun. It definitely seemed original, at least to me who doesn't read much high steam. I expected the many scenes to be repetitive but every one had something unique and was well written and kept my interest til the end. It is fairly low plot with almost no relationship development. At least not til the end. For a fun, light, fast paced, angst free read, I enjoyed it. May not be for the hard-core romancers though unless u dable in the occasional spicy read. Due to the focus being on Charlie's growth it is written in just his POV til near the end. While I get the reason, I did wish throughout it that we got a bit more of Rorys POV to see what he was thinking in the moment.
The characters were likeable. I expected the dominant to come off cold and callous and was intrigued that for a CEO, he was fun and easy going and seemed to care despite his aloofness. The book definitely focused more on Charlie who was uptight, insecure, awkward and so inexperienced that it bordered on unbelievable to me considering his age. Not to mention in the closet. Anyways, I enjoyed his self discovery which was the main focus of the book. I definitely wasn't seeing any sparks between these 2 but I did enjoy their encounters and found how they ended up together to be believable enough.
I absolutely love Charlie David as a narrator so it surprised me that he doesnt make an appearance til the last quarter of the book. The other narrator did a fantastic job as well though. He was new to me but I would absolutely love to listen to him again. Both had great voices and kept a good pace/flow. They both expressed all the emotions wonderfully and brought the story to life. They gave all of the characters including the side characters their own distinct voice that suited them all perfectly and made it easy to follow the story. It was a great listen.
Spicey! Fantastic performance
