A new author to me, JL Quick has proven to be an author I am going to follow! This is the first in the Dark Daddies of New York, and it's the best of romance and suspense. What happens when three men, best friends are each from a different mafia family? And when things start to change, one of the men's sister is the prize for a deal that was made previous to them taking over the family? Well, that is the situation Enzo, Cillian and Nikolai have found themselves in. To keep Eavan, Cillian's sister safe, he leaves her in Enzo's care. Mistake? Well, I think falling in love with her was not what Cillian had in mind when he left her. Spicy, witty banter, family both true and found, danger and true soulmates are all at the center of this one. I loved it! The three men are true brothers and their bond it steadfast. Enzo and Eavan are the fun, as she finds out just what Daddy has in store. And the twists and turns lead to the danger this newly formed family finds themselves in. The question is, will they be able to pull of their plan and keep everyone safe? Give this a listen, you are going to love it!

Shiloh James is Eavan, and she gives her all the spunk and naivete that makes her truly likable. She is smart and knows what she wants. I love the way she lets her grow through the story and become the woman she is meant to be. Enzo is voiced by William MacLeod and the accent. YUM! He voices all the men, each with a different accent, each with bringing the scene alive. It could be making love or killing the bad guys, he is spot on. These two made this listen come alive, so save that credit for this one!
