This is another that I’ve seen doing the rounds on booktok, I am a fan of Avina & everything I’ve read by her so far I’ve absolutely loved so this one was an easy read for me! 🤎

Lily was in a terrible car crash, she wasn’t suppose to survive. She saw the grim reaper, he came for her but did not take her…why?

Why can she see his faceless form in her dreams, he leaves her gifts and letters, he’s taken her loved ones but why won’t he just take her?

No one believes her, she feels like she’s going mad. But she knows she is deaths obsession, he wants her, he needs her just as much as she needs him 🥵

This was so well done, it had a lot of spice but it also dealt with a lot of emotions especially grief & mental health. She didn’t just fall for the grim reaper & they lived happily ever after. She dealt with her grief, she knew she wasn’t just mentally unwell & having hallucinations even though she was continuously told that & let down by doctors.

I hated the pos BF too by the way, he should of died sooner imo 😌🤷🏼‍♀️🤎

I read the book first, but then I found a short clip of the audiobook, and Oh My God, the Death's voice 🖤 I had to listen to this. Both narrators did a great job, but listening to Death was magical

I thought it was okay. There wasn't really much of a plot and the characters could've been a bit more thought out. The main character is Death and I thought he lacked a bit of magic and supernatural element. There was no drama element between Death and the FMC. It was only 4 hours so I'm not that disappointed.

The way that grief is described in this book is possibly one of the best portrayals I’ve ever read. It left me raw and hit some sore spots in my soul. The FMC is very relatable to me. The way the MMC took care of her, even though it was disturbing at first, is wonderful. Of course we get to see his POV as well, maybe that took the edge off a bit :)
