“Don’t...bleed for me.” (The Unknown)

Saying "don’t" around Jack Harrison always did lead him into dangerous grounds on London streets. But now someone knows Jack’s head inside and out, and they’re about to twist all perception and lead him into an underground depravity that nearly sent him down in his youth. As Jack slips further into a dark psychological minefield, only two men offer different paths back to sanity: Gray, a man who knows Jack’s every dark thought, and Jan, the first man to show Jack a “soft lad” approach to head and heart. But with deadly games and ghosts bleeding through into Jack’s reality, it’s a fight to see who out of the three of them will survive long enough to find a way out of the vicious game played by someone known only as...the Unknown.

Just finished and I’m missing Dan Calley‘s wonderfully smokey voice that’s smooth for Grey and rough for Jack. Perfect. I am a fan of this series. I love this psychological thriller with all the suspense and the twists and turns the story takes. Jack is a salt of the earth Londoner, tough but fair with a soft side for those he cares about. He falls for Jan and didn’t mean to pull him into the other part of Jack’s life. That of a Master Sub to Grey. Grey is a man of power and mystery.
With Dan Calley narrating it they all sound like I imagined. Jack is dark and gravelly, Grey is strong sure and smooth with Jan sort of in between. The narration suits the story so well that for me it’s like experiencing the excitement of the book all over again. I wish I could give more than five stars.
Now I’ve got to be patient and wait for Antidote to come out.

Terrific book with superb narration

This is a book that delivers what it promises so very very well. It is dark and it has a nice mixture of suspense, drama and BDSM twisted through it. The characters are unique and I will admit they stuck with me for quite some time. If you like the lighter dark books this will not be the one for you but if you love them dark well clear your weekend (you won’t want to pause this one) and jump on in.

More please

Jack l pykes ability to bring you into a psychological thriller like this is why I am obsessed with the book series. It’s hard to pull something like this off without it becoming exhausting. I wanted to know ever thing that was going to happen next!!

Where to begin… a book that is not just a book. It’s a performance. It’s storytelling at it’s best. It’s a peace of art.

It leaves you speechless, wanting more and satisfied at the same time. It’s a thriller alright, twists and turns keep you wondering. But that wasn't what was keeping me up all night marvelling at Jack L. Pyke's captivating writing style AND Dan Calley’s INCREDIBLE performance. What kept me listening to this book like someone starving for just another chapter were the characters. Jack, Jan, Gray were just mouthwatering. And no, not just on the incredibly well thought of and well written kinky and steamy scenes. No. This book is a perfect balance of suspense, mind games on a level that left me craving, about relationships, mental disorders and coping mechanisms that are so originally individual that leaves you wondering and marvelling at how much about the world I, the reader, still needs to learn about.

What I am struggling with is how is this book not more popular? I have found it completely accidentally and I will become the biggest advocate ever. But come on, with Jack’s fantastic writing brought to life by the delicious voice and performance of Dan, I am surprised this book doesn’t have a thousand reviews.

It’s stunning, original beyond my ability to describe it with words. Just so so good.

It’s dark. Really dark. So make sure you read the triggers if that’s something you need to consider. But it was those triggering moments that reminded me how complex life, people and the world around us can be. They were a big part of what made this book so gripping and captivating for me.

Standing ovation for the Jack and Dan. I’m in awe and left speechless.

Stunning book on so many levels
