This is my first 'Omegaverse' but not my last. It is the story of what happens when a dedicated scientist is forced to confront her base nature and her darkest desires.

Raven is an Omega living in a Dystopian future where emotions are suppressed by drugs and sex is considered dirty. When she is ambushed on a mission outside the dome and all but her colleague Alex is killed she finds herself on the run. On the run without the medication that stops her becoming 'Omega'. Worse still Alex is an Alpha whose very nature will force him to claim her with or without her consent.

Just when she thinks the worse is over Raven and Alex meet Wolf and Ivan two Alpha Brothers living in the wild and two become four! When Raven is taken it will take the combined talents of her men to bring her safely back to them.

This is one seriously hot dark romance book with scenes that some readers may find uncomfortable. The narration by Sarah Puckett and Sebastian Reynolds was excellent and only enhanced an already brilliant but deeply disturbing book...

I got this book for free with audiobooks unleashed and this is my honest opinion.

The narrative really made this book at the 4 1/2 stars, Sarah and Sebastian really outdid themselves with it. This is definitely a different kind of story and you really must enjoy a good reverse harem dark romance story to fully enjoy it. This book does have a storyline outside of all the passion, with that said there is a lot of passion involved. The ending seems to flow well into book two as well.

This was a great premise for a story: post apocalyptic, after a biological war has ended members of society are either 'alpha', 'beta' or 'omega' as dictated by their DNA, but living in colonies that medicate people to suppress the behaviours linked to their types.

I enjoy books with high heat, but the author seems to have forgotten a key thing about writing a sex scene: it should move the plot or the relationship between the characters forward. The plot seemed to be there to link the sex scenes, not the other way around. I found myself growing bored and impatient throughout. The only part I could consider remotely 'dark' is the rivalry that comes up towards the end, which is out of nowhere and a bit 'glossed over' and the first sex scene is a bit dub-con.

The narrators did an excellent job with what they had
