About this listen
Psychologist Kai Ferguson has had his eye on Kori Williamson for a long time. His assistant is everything he’s ever wanted in a partner—smart, caring, witty, and a bit of a masochist. More than a little, actually, but that’s the problem. Kori won’t admit her own desires. She’s afraid of him and what he has to offer. Luckily for her, helping patients face their fears is one of his specialties.
Kori knows she wants Kai. Her boss is the most amazing man she’s ever met. She’s also smart enough to stay away from him. Having been down this road before, she knows it only leads to heartache. She’s just found a place where she can belong. Another failed relationship is the last thing she needs. It’s better to guard her heart and let Kai think she’s frightened of his dark, dominant nature.
When Kai is recruited for an operation with McKay-Taggart, everything is turned upside down. Kai’s brother, international superstar Jared Johns, is in town and Kai must juggle his family issues along with a desperate hunt for a serial killer. The investigation throws Kori and Kai together, and they quickly discover the chemistry between them is undeniable. But even if their newfound love can survive his secrets and her lies, it may not be enough to save them both from a killer’s twisted obsession.

Kai and Kori
Another installment in my favorite romantic suspense series. Kai and Kori are lesser known characters in the series and the storyline shifts just a bit as we are thrust into a case for the FBI in which they are tracking a serial unaliver. Kai’s estranged brother is brought in under the guise of training for a new movie and the drama unfolds quickly. The multi-layered story is non-stop, both on the personal side (romantic and familial) and on the professional side. The constant check ins with the rest of the team always brings a smile to my face and Ian Taggert is always there for some comic relief. And we can’t forget the underlying storyline in the series that was still very much prominent in this book. I cannot wait to get into the next audio.
I cannot get over the skill Ryan West exhibits narrating this series. There are so many characters interacting with each other and I never once confuse one for another. The different tones, inflections, accents…he has them all mastered and I will forever be a hype girl for this man. Solo narration at its best! He has done a phenomenal job and I can’t wait to continue this series on audio.
Another great installment

Where does From Sanctum with Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is high on my list of all time favourite books. I already own the Kindle edition of this book, but when I saw this on Audible, I could not resist. I love audio books and often buy both the Kindle and audiobook of any book I particularly like. What other book might you compare From Sanctum with Love to, and why?
I suppose any of the books in the Masters and Mercenaries series is of comparable quality.Which character – as performed by Ryan West – was your favourite?
Ian Taggart is far and away my most consistently favourite character though I have to say the most of the T & M crew are engaging and interesting people.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, both. The scene between Ian and Squirrel had me laughing out loud, but the conversations between Erin and Kori and Kia and Jared had me fighting back the tears.Any additional comments?
As with all the books in this series, it leaves you wanting more. You want to know what happens with Case and Mia, Jared and Sarah and, of course, the ongoing story of the hunt for Hope McDonald. It must be challenging to maintain the high quality and intriguing stories lines over such a long series but in this series with its cast of ever-evolving plots once you are hooked you just keep waiting with bated breath for the next instalment. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who has not tried it yet, but it is highly addictive, so be warned.Another great book

don't let this put you off, there was still plenty of action and suspense and some very hot sex scenes as well as the usual wonderful interactions between the amazingly written characters!
