So firstly narrators were excelent both of them (of course I bought the book bcs Joe Arden 🤣) but I must admit that if I would read the book I would probably be bored. Also I really didn’t like Valeria, yes she had hard marriage, but she made stupid decisions🤦‍♀️ Zyon was perfecr unhinged mafia man with touch her and d!e vibes, litterally 🤣 story was mostly predictable, but I was ok with it 😊

I listened to Gamble With Me as an advance listener copy, and while the premise had potential, this one didn’t fully work for me overall.
The story leans heavily into dark romance themes, but I felt the inclusion of the FMC’s daughter didn’t add much to the plot and, at times, felt unnecessary to the story being told. I also struggled with the FMC she was quite frustrating at points, and some of her decisions made it hard for me to stay fully invested.
There were a few scenes that felt a bit over the top for my taste (the body paint scene especially), and the story reminded me somewhat of another book I’ve read, which made parts feel less original.
That said, the audiobook narration was well done and helped carry the story, and readers who enjoy intense, morally gray romance may still find a lot to like here. For me, it was an okay listen a solid 3-star read.
