Nikolai is amazing zing MMC, he is sky, chaotic, goofy and psychotic with tattoo and I love he is openly bi and does not give a crap about anyone’s thoughts or opinions. He is unapologetically honest and blunt and yes does often act without thinking. We see that he does have anger issues, brought upon more when the ones he loves get hurt or really piss him off. But he is directly loyal and will burn down the whole world for the ones he loves…..especially Brandon.
His first interaction with Brandon at the initiation had me squealing and kicking my legs in giddiness. The fact he calls him his Lotus Flower is so cute! Yes he has his psychotic moments but honestly I loved him, he is the perfect MMC for me and let’s Brandon be himself and embrace himself without pushing him or judging.
Then there’s Brandon, the youngest of the King twin. He is often in the shadow of Landons genius in the art community and you can see this strain plays a big part in how Brandon sees himself. We get to see a different side of Brandon that he keeps in the dark and hidden from everyone. Spoiler, he has a lot of self depreciation thoughts of his image due to a traumatic event in his childhood. There is self harm and Brandon does hurt himself on different occasions and even talks about it. This is explored more and we do discover the incident that caused Brandon to feel like this. What I loved is that when Niki found out about this, he helped and supported Brandon and let Brandon come to him, he didn’t push and allowed him time. We se so many sides to Brandon and it really makes you want to route for him.
The amount of emotions I went through during this book, mainly giggling like a school girl, and the fact this book had me in such a chokehold that I could not out it down and when I did I constantly thought about it. Niko and Bran’s relationship is addictive and I wishes we had further storeis about them because for me the best book in the series and couple.
Also those spice scenes 🥵 and I will say chapter 13 & 14, really starts it and it just gets spicier from there!

This is so beautiful and hot and funny and heart wrenching and gahhhhhh I just love it so much. I understand why this is known as the best in the series. Stunning. And the two narrators Teddy Hamilton and Shane East are so perfect for these characters, they really bought them to life. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ do check the triggers.
