This book was so steamy! Warning: Don not read unless your partner is ready fr some action ;) It will definitely put you in the mood! There are some very intense erotic scenes. The narrator had the deepest voice that he changed up when narrating for Adrian to be so commanding. I would find it hard not to say yes, sir. If this genre is your thing, this is a must read!

Island Captive was a hot steamy read that will have you hooked from beginning to end. Labeled as a dark read it wasn't all that dark,yet this enemies to lovers story had elements of a D/s relationship and some BDMS. The plot was not too complicated as we see the federal marshal and the criminal she went to apprehend both stranded on a deserted island and their journey from captor/captive to lovers. You will like the main characters and be rooting for them to make it. There were a couple parts that were a but unrealistic but it worked well with the story.
I listened to the audible version of this novel which was narrated by DC Cole. I enjoyed listening to his voice. He brought the male character to life but it took me a little while to get the female characters. However I was soon hooked and enjoying the story. This was a good read and I would recommend it to those looking for a fairly light dark read.

I loved this story! It’s my first Jane Henry listen/read, but not my last! It is a very well written and well thought out plot with great characters! Adrian is big, angry, scary and Nadine is small, determined, and fierce. Nadine believes he is a killer and it’s her job to capture him and make sure he pays for the crime he’s committed! She is a US Marshall doing her job. What transpires after he is caught is such a great story of finding out what the truth is and what it truly means to care for someone.

At first, I had trouble connecting to DC Cole as a woman... but that me with any male narrator! I soon settled into his voice and he’s is someone I would listen to again!

I encourage anyone to listen to this!! It is worth the time! I think you’ll like it!

Jane Henry's Island Captive is a dark and highly sex charged story of Nadine, a smart and strong US Marshall who apprehends the convicted criminal Adrian for the murder of his *almost" fiance and submissive.

It's not Nadine's job to find him guilty or innocent of the crime he has been accused of, but she falls into the trap of jumping to conclusions based on the court finding him guilty. After Nadine ruff's Adrian up a bit during his re-capture, she gets a taste of her own medicine when their plane crashes on a deserted island.

Adrian introduces Nadine into the d/s while stranded while they peel back the layers on their pasts and how they got to where they are now in life. The attraction between the two on the island is highly charged after Nadine begins to understand Adrian's decisions and saves her life a couple of times also.....

While in today's world recovery wouldn't normally take so long to find the wreckage, and there is an HEA, but it was fun to make believe some of the events actually took place and if Adrian has a body anything like the cover of this story - I don't think I'd mind being stranded with him either.
