Are you ready for the next explosive instalment of the Chicago Ruthless series. The Moretti's might think they have it all, but there's one more Moretti out there who wants to take it from them...

She was born in captivity and raised in hell. While her siblings lived in a golden palace and slept on feather pillows, Keres Sideris fought to survive horror and fear and pain. Until a faceless man freed her from the life she was born for.

Warriors don't escape fear, they conquer it—those words were the only thing her rescuer left her with when she was just a little girl, and those words fortified her heart against the world.

But she isn't a little girl anymore. Keres is all grown up and ready to seek vengeance against those who hurt her. Eager to make them pay for every single thing they took from her, and nothing and nobody will stand in her way.

Except Keres has no idea of the lion's den she's about to walk into. Challenging the Morettis means taking on far more than she bargained for, including getting on the wrong side of the two take-no-prisoners bodyguards assigned to keep an eye on her.

Keres is an MMF romance full of tension, revenge and a whole load of spice.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would.

Keres is a badass and broken and on the hunt for vengance and determined to make the family that caused that to pay.

I honestly could not stop listening to this book. I loved it so much that i cried so much more than I expected going into this. Keres is so broken, and her story is heartbreaking, and I just wanted to take it all away for her.

Keres men in this book are HOT, and I loved that they never gave up on her and knew exactly what she needed and knew she was a badass.

Lorenzo plays a big part in this, which was everything because, well, he's my favourite 😏 and angry Lorenzo is extremely HOT.

I will say that I really think that this is Sadies' best work yet and yes I say that after every book but I really do I was so more emotional and I was so attached to all the characters and I didn't want it to end.

'A warrior doesn't escape fear they conquer it.'

When I heard Angelina Rocca voicing Keres, I was so excited because I knew she was the perfect voice, and she really delivered she empoided all of keres emotions and made me love Keres so much more.

J.F Harding and Bradley Ford were so good as the leading men being all growly and also expressing the emotion when needed.

This book was the perfect end to the Chicago series! Keres’ story is both heartbreaking and inspiring.

Having Lorenzo as a pivotal part of Keres’ story was literary genius. 🤯 Knowing Lorenzo’s past and the loss he has dealt with made the plot of this book even more perfect.

The plot was so well written I did not want to put this book down. The plot lines from the other books being were perfectly interwoven into this book. This book had a perfect balance between spice and plot.

Keres being able to see her dream come to life with the help of Ace and Romeo was a perfect ending to the book 💛💛

I did a read and listen and the narration was literal gold! Angelina Rocca was beyond amazing in her portrayal of Keres! J. F. Harding keeps raising the bar with each narration and this was no exception! Bradley Ford is a new-to-me narrator but his portrayal of Romeo and especially Lorenzo was mind blowing! Definitely a narrator I will be listening to again. Overall, you couldn’t have selected better narrators for this book, if you tried. This was just perfect! 💛💛

I would 1000% recommend this book!

I haven't read the previous Chicago Ruthless books and although the previous couples are characters in this there are no real spoilers as to how they got together and it was easy to dive right in. I loved the whole revenge plotline and thought this was an excellent spin when everyone is morally grey.

Angelina Rocca did an excellent job as the hard as nails Keres who slowly softens throughout the story as her past unravels. JF Harding and Bradley Ford also gave solid performances as they show the betrayal their characters go through whilst trying to deny their ongoing attraction to Keres. I loved the dynamic between Romeo and Ace; their chemistry was off the charts and I liked the story of how they got together as it felt really organic. The focus did seem to nudge Ace into more of a lead MMC role however given Romeo's past I was surprised that wasn't leaned into a little more given Keres own backstory.

The plot with Nix threw me a little as it was resolved with quite a lot of story left to go. There was so much history between Nix and Keres but as it is largely off page it was a little hard to connect with her. The ending felt more like an extended epilogue for the last few chapters which I didn't mind as it gave the characters a chance to breath outwith the events of the main plot. I also loved the hacker cameo and I am intrigued by Nathan who definitely has his own story to tell.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
