Summary

Monica

I love the dead—a passion for them if you will. There’s nothing like cutting, collecting, and storing parts of them in jars.

Can you keep a secret for me?

What I’m doing is immoral, but I’ve found someone special to love. If anyone were to find out… You know what? Let’s hope that never happens, because

It’s Illegal!

Jax

I’m a King. If the elegant font scrolled across my breast pocket is any indication of the name I bear, then my arrogance is sure to do the rest.

Want more?

I’ve held hatred in my heart for a long time, and I’m striking while the iron is hot. Vengeance, power plays, and manipulation are what I’m here for. We can even add murder to the table. Nothing is off-limits. Not even my girl’s toy, and...

He’s DEAD.

oh boy I loved this book but I may have questioned my mentality at times. The narrators were so good. I'll never look at strawberries the same way.

Living Dead Girl is the first 'splatterpunk romance' I've read and it didn't disappoint! The gory scenes and taboo subjects were sprinkled with dark humour that made this such an enjoyable read! Despite what the FMC gets up to in her spare time, I found myself completely enamoured with her, and Raven Wildewood did an excellent job at portraying the character! Sean Masters never fails to disappoint with his gorgeous voice and totally brings the MMC to life (excuse the pun, IYKYK!). The narration was faultless - a fantastic production by the Blue Nose team!

There's a lot of content warnings for this book, so PLEASE make sure you check them out before delving in

This book is everything you don't know you need, want and or know you like.

SERIOUSLY READ YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS!!!

This story made me question everything about any morals and kinks but is excellent, funny and gruesome.
She a mortician, with a lot of sass and finding her dark side because of him. Him, well he is a psychopath and we love a good psychopath, stalker!
I loved this book,it is twisted, it's dark and kinky AF!

Audiobook: this has been performed by Raven Wildewood and Sean Masters. As usual Sean has knocked it out of the park! This is my first book with Raven's voice and I loved it, I think she fit perfectly the charters and their personalities. Blue Nose team has done an amazing job once more creating a great experience for the audio fans.

Living Dead Girl is a truly unique and captivating book that pushed the boundaries of conventional storytelling. The dynamic between Monica, the quirky mortician, and Jax, the unrestrained and intelligent protagonist, creates a compelling narrative filled with dark humour and unconventional romance. It's intriguing how their crazy complements each other in a way that is both entertaining and thought-provoking. The blend of suspense, humour, and emotional depth adds layers to the story, making it more than just a darkly humorous tale. It's a testament to the author's skill that she could weave such an engaging narrative that leaves a lasting impression on us readers. It's always exciting to find a book that leaves you laughing, questioning, and eagerly turning the pages, all while delivering unexpected twists and emotional revelations and Living Dead Girl did all of this and so much more.
Raven Wildewood's portrayal of Monica is a masterclass in duality, effortlessly blending the character's initial innocence with the darker, more monstrous aspects lurking beneath the surface. Her performance is filled with subtle nuances that convey a complex character who defies societal expectations, capturing the essence of a soul in turmoil with remarkable precision. Meanwhile, Sean Masters' depiction of Jax is a revelation, bringing to life a character driven by rage and an obsession with violence. His performance is nothing short of mesmerizing, with every line delivered and every pause pregnant with meaning, leaving an indelible impression that is both haunting and compelling. Together, Wildewood and Masters create a dynamic presence that is both captivating and unforgettable.
