1st person, dual povs.

Good mm Mafia series. Loved these interconnected standalone books. Can be read in any order but recommend to read in order as the same characters are mentioned in every book.

Great narration on all books. Downloaded the individual books on KU to read alongside but Whispersync didn't work like that which was frustrating.

Very good character definition and development throughout. My particular faves are Helios and Knives 🖤 I would definitely recommend the whole series 🫶🥰🔥👌👅

I’m only on book 2 and may rewrite if it changes but book 1 was not the best. I listen to a lot of MM mafia and have found that there’s so much great writing where it’s often funny and engaging The Vitale brothers series being the best in this genre. It’s absolutely brilliant and there’s lots that are similar but honestly in book 1 you don’t really like anyone. I didn’t care if they ended up together. The story isn’t engaging, and it’s abit boring if I’m being honest. Morally Grey characters are to be expected but it wasn’t that, that I didn’t care or like anyone they just didn’t have any personality. Book2 does start better so we will see but with book 1 I very nearly moved on to something else. It’s a shame as I write very few in fact I think 2 not great reviews out of nearly 100 but as it stands I wish I hadn’t used my credit.
Half way through book 2 and it’s better, the characters are more likeable but I can’t put my finger on it. It’s just basic. It feels robotic and I just can’t get involved. I really tried and as I said the second book was better but I’m gonna leave it here. I just don’t really care and it’s just words. Disappointed as I’ve listened to and read some stand out writing in this genre. Not the fault of the narrator. He was good but just lack of depth, repetitive writing.
