Loved the narration from Josephine Haskell and Mike Ryan, who brings the dark humour and spice to your ears.

This book shows the Grinch in a different light. It has horror, gore and spice. A great Spicy, dark and gore. This is dark romance perfect for a scare and steam combined.

Mean One by AB. Cynthe is an erotic horror retelling of the Grinch that I listened to on audio narrated by Josephine Haskell and Mike Ryan.

This is the second book of AB's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see how it was all going to play out. This is definitely one of the stories I don't want to give any spoilers away.

I originally read this book when it was first released, and I knew I had to grab a copy of it on audio. Mike and Josephine did a great job brining the story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

If you are looking for an erotic horror that look no further. It is a perfect read for the Christmas season.

🙃 What did I just listen to?
And how did I possibly ruin my favorite Christmas movie? . . . or did I?
I never thought this is what I would get from this book. It was not what I expected at all.
It's a dark retelling of a certain green Christmas character but in the most gruesome way.
There is so much spice in this short listen your headphones might catch on fire.
I enjoyed it even if it did surprise me a lot. The Grouch, Max and May Martha all have great stories to tell and the narrators did an amazing job bringing them to live.
I enjoyed it.

I loved the premise of this story. It was like a dark twist on the grinch and I was here for it.
But unfortunately, I didn’t end up loving the story once it was all said and done. The story had three main characters, and it alternated being told from their different perspectives. They had some pretty twisted connections, but I honestly had a hard time connecting with them even when I saw things from their point of view. Another thing I struggled with was the female narrator. She only seemed to be able to make the women sound super breathy and airy or like older women. None of the tones or “voices” she chose seemed to actually fit with the characters. And then I started to get really bothered with the direction of the story as it neared the end. While I liked finding out what really happened to drive the grouch away, everything that came twisted and unexpected. I couldn’t really blame him for his feelings towards the townspeople, but it also felt unfair for him to almost forget who’d been there for him all along. And even that all went horribly wrong. Honestly, I just found myself a little put off by the ending. I get that it was described as an erotic horror, but maybe I didn’t really understand what I’d be getting. I gave it three stars because I was entertained and engaged for the first half, and probably even three fourths of it. But it was that last quarter combined with the female narrator that took those two stars off.
