Easily the best work I've read/listened to by Sadie Kincaid. Brilliant duet narration. however, I just wish I had waited until book 2 is out in November before listening as I'm desperate to know what happens next! the ending was just so so cruel...with a 7 month wait I have big expectations of book 2!

Absolutely gripping from start to finish. This story pulls you in almost instantly and doesn’t let go… dark, intense, and layered with emotion in a way that keeps you fully invested the whole way through. The characters feel raw and real, and the tension builds so naturally that you’re constantly on edge, needing to know what happens next.

The narrators deserve a special mention because they completely elevated the experience. Their performances brought every moment to life… capturing the vulnerability, the intensity, and the darker undertones perfectly. You can feel the emotion in every line, which makes the story hit even harder.

And that ending… wow. The cliffhanger was cruel. Perfect, but absolutely cruel. The kind that leaves you staring into space for a minute, wondering what you’re supposed to do with yourself now.

I’m already counting down for book 2.

why on earth had I convinced myself this was a standalone 🙈 and when is the next book out! I've really enjoyed every Sadie Kincaid book I've read/listened to, this was no different and I think it will get even better as the series goes on, I thought I'd sussed stuff out pretty early on but I was totally wrong, I am hoping for so many things from the next book after the cliffhanger ending (which I won't mention as it will spoil this book)
