The story is ok as it is a smut book. But if you’re into fantasy with heavy spice, you might like this.

The story is interesting but the female narrator just wasn’t for me. Her portrayal of this character came across as whiney and stuck up.
I think I’ll read the rest of the series instead of listening.

The story is all right for what it is, I did not go into it expecting miracles. The background story would be interesting however, none of the elements introduced in the book are developed properly. It has all the tropes of a low tier YA novel.

Unfortunately the female narrator completely yanks me out of the story. Her voice just sounds so much older than the character is supposed to be and she sounds utterly whiney throughout the book.

I really tried giving it a fair shot, but halfway through I simply could not listen to her any longer. I ended up reading Charlotte’s chapters and only listening to the Audiobook when it was a male narrator’s turn to speak.

I liked the premise. Ended up just being porn. I would have liked more character growth or back story or what the heck they are even doing when they “work” no world building. No fleshed out characters. Charlotte just cries and then they comfort or have sex. That’s about it.
