About this listen

I've been abducted by the werewolf king.

He’s deadly. Violent. Cruel.

But not to me.

To me, he's almost nice.

I guess it helps that I'm the only female werewolf he's ever met.

And that his wolf has decided I'm going to be his mate, whether I like it or not.

Luckily, I can survive his pack just fine, as long as no one learns what I could do for them.

I can't tell the king the truth, no matter how much I'm starting to trust him.

Or like him.

Or want him.

I have to stay quiet about what I can really do, or I will lose everything.

Including the possessive king I'm trying hard not to fall for.

Because I could save his people's lives… but it would cost me mine.

*This is a spicy enemies to lovers romance with a happily ever after

I kinda picked this up on a whim cause it had been a while since I'd read a PNR but this was fun. This is a brand new author to me and I'm excited to read the rest of this series. Enzo and Aspen were so cute together even when they tried to hide their connection but they simply couldn't. There's some uniqueness to the Werewolf story here which I've never read before so this was a really good story.

A whole lot of fun

This shifter book had everything I needed to enjoy it to the fullest. I loved the forced proximity. It’s written very well. The characters are strong and likeable. A fantastic performance.

This was one fun listen. I enjoyed it a lot. Those i would have wanted a bit more world building, as well as the chemistry between FMC and MMC while was there and was sizzling i think it needed a bit more work.

It was a great concept and all, honestly i had a lot of fun, it just seemed liked it lacked a bit of more work on it. More delving into the characters and the world. Will i read/listen to next books? Absolutely! And narrators did such an amazing job as well!

This is a fascinating start to an amazing new paranormal romance series featuring werewolf shifters. The story grabs your attention right from the start and holds it captive the entire time. Aspen, a rare female wolf, lives with her brother, a pack leader, who helps keep her hidden. She wears perfume to hide her scent, but that did not help when the alpha king’s brother caught her scent and took her against her will back to his brother. Enzo, the Alpha King, wants Aspen, or rather, his wolf does, and Aspen’s wolf is in agreement, but Enzo is lacking in being romantic. Aspen is no pushover, and Enzo has met his match in her, and it was great watching them get to know each other, navigate their relationship and see it morph into something more, something real. This fantastic enemies-to-lovers romance has the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. As the first book in the series, is lays down the foundation for the rest of the series. The world building, plot and writing are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Lola Glass, thanks for this fabulously entertaining story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Cassandra King and Lucas Dixon did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life, giving each a voice that was fitting for a perfect portrayal of each. Both embodied their characters’ personalities completely and were convincing in every role, nailing it as the two leads, Aspen and Enzo. Their tone and pacing were ideal for the story, and they conveyed all the characters’ emotions in their performance, making you feel each one. These two make a great narration team, with voices and talent that compliments each other and a captivating performance that keeps you glued to the story.

I have really enjoyed Lola"s other series and this does not disappoint, I love the plot and the character building, the development of the relationships within the book between all the characters not just the main ones but both the main characters familes, really looking forward to the next in the series, hope they come out on audible soon!
