Chris is a bestselling author, an award-winning broadcaster, an international number one recording artist (kind of) and a former champion bellringer (seriously). He is the author of the New Famous Five series and the fantasy adventure Frankie Best Hates Quests. Chris is also the co-creator of The Twits Next Door and the Kid Normal series. He’s a campaigner to keep kids reading and an ambassador for the National Literacy Trust. As a broadcaster Chris delivered the news to millions of listeners on BBC Radio. His best-known bulletin is probably the one sampled by George Michael and used on the song Outside. Chris grew up in Northamptonshire which is where the bellringing comes in. He also likes Tolkien, Legend of Zelda games and Moomins.
