W T Delaney writes fast-paced, intelligence-driven thrillers drawn straight from a life lived on the edge. He joined the Royal Marines at 18, serving 24 years in 45, 40, and 41 Commando units. During that time, he was attached to the elite Special Boat Service and served in covert operations as a special duties soldier. After leaving the military, he launched into a second high-risk career on London’s private security circuit—protecting Arab royalty and providing frontline security advice to Fox and NBC News during their coverage of Iraq and Afghanistan. Delaney went on to work as an intelligence advisor and mentor in both Iraq and Afghanistan, attached to the British Army and US Marine Corps, before fulfilling a similar role in Africa with a separate organization. After decades of operating in the shadows, he turned to writing full-time in 2018. His debut thriller, A Shadowing of Angels, launched in 2016 and introduced readers to the dark, complex world of Sam Holloway. It was followed by A Falling of Angels (2019) and An Evil Shadow Falls (2021), completing the Sam Holloway Trilogy. He then released a standalone follow-up, The Long Shadow of Panjshir, featuring familiar faces in a new theatre of conflict. Now, Delaney begins a brand-new chapter with A Collusion of Shadows—a crime/terror crossover and the explosive first entry in the Tommy Holloway Series. Book two is already underway.
