Summary
岩瀬修は６３歳。今は文具会社の経営陣に収まっている。彼には、昔夢中になった任侠映画にまつわる忘れられない思い出があった。初めて観たのは中二のとき。すぐに高倉健のファンになった。映画を観たいがために稼業の飲み屋を手伝うようになり、周囲からはヤクザと煙たがられている中間のおっちゃんと仲良くなる。そして、心臓が悪い従姉妹の弥生が、近くの県立病院に入院してきた。学校に通えない弥生のために、修はプリントなどを届けに行くようになった。弥生は優秀で本好き、しかも絵を描くのが抜群に上手い。ケンカもしながら、親しくなっていく。任侠映画と二人との出会いを経て、修は大学進学のため東京へ――。人生の荒波に漕ぎ出し始めた。
任侠映画に、そして主人公達に夢中になった青春時代。たかが娯楽映画、でもそうではなかった。あの頃の出会いがあって、今の自分がいることを、切ないエピソードとともに感じるのだった。
