Summary
In this volume, we have attempted to gather the most interesting and influential Gospels and Apocalypses attributed to the Apostles, in the hope that these books may reveal to the listener something hitherto unknown. Some of these books, such as the Apocalypse of Peter, appear in early lists of canon scriptures, and vied for inclusion into our Bible. Some, such as the Gospel of Thomas, will increase the depth of our spiritual understanding. Then there are those, like the Gospel of Judas that challenge our view and understanding of who Jesus really was and what actually happened the night the Lord was betrayed. Was Christianity really a Mystery Cult led by an itinerate preacher? Did he ask Judas to set him up to die? Did Jesus have a wife?
