As a keen student of Manic Street Preachers’ work, I found this both informative and easily accessible. Its strength is that it is an analysis of the band’s work in plain English. If you want something more academic, try Triptych (about The Holy Bible) but have a thesaurus handy…and a degree in philosophy, political history or English literature.

Great book, meticulously researched but the two narrators butcher Keith Cameron’s prose with mispronunciations throughout. I’d forgive the occasional error but this just sounds sloppy.
