About this listen
Editor reviews
Travel Radio International host Patricia Lawrence takes listeners on another "audiojourney", this time at the winter carnival in Quebec City, Canada, an annual tradition since 1894. Lawrence speaks with the Carnival’s general director and visits the insides of buildings and even a car made of ice. She hears of the hundreds of activities in which nearly a million visitors a year engage and talks, too, with Bonhomme Carnaval, King of the carnival and self-proclaimed "sweet boss" who talks of his role, "to have people happy!" She continues with a tour led by a convention bureau guide who describes the architecture, churches, public statues, culture, and history of this fascinating "old world in the new world" city.
