What a fun way to bring families together and get outside again. We live in such a digital fast pace world and have lost touch with nature. I see this book as not only a way to live a more sustainable and healthy life, but to reconnect and bring nature alive for families. I am an adventurer and can't wait to take my husband on our next hike to forage for the edible plants described in the book. It's packed with practical tips, plant identification, and harvesting know-how, turning our outdoor adventures into a
fruitful scavenger hunt. I also really love the pdf that came wit the audiobook to help better identify the plants that you are looking for. This is a must read whether you are looking to use it as a practical guide or just add more fun into your outdoor adventures!

Have recently wanted to take up foraging as a side hobby while hiking, and thought I'd give this title a shot. Not only does it help you identify a number of edible plants in the wild, but which geographic regions you are most likely to find a given species of plants. It also does a good job of helping you identify which plants to avoid, which is equally important! Narrator is even toned and easy to follow, planning on returning to as a resource.

I am EXTREMELY impressed by the level of thorough information in the book. The author covers everything! The author took us on a journey and reminded us of the climate changes that have occurred in the world, which have also affected and disrupted the supply chain of some of our foods. Most of us experienced the "empty shelves" phenomenon during the pandemic. This alone should be enough to encourage us all to take more of an active part in naturally gathering some of the foods we eat.

I appreciate the author providing some warning signs of which items are not edible and what t look for in terms of making sure we don't make the mistake of eating something we're not supposed to eat. The author also warns us of the importance of educating ourselves regarding the various types of plants and which are best for consumption. In addition, we must also only take what we need because we don't want to pillage or waste natural resources. It takes great wisdom and knowledge to forage effectively and safely.

I also love that there is an attachment to the audiobook. This will be a tremendous resource as we begin our foraging journey! 2 thumbs up! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will recommend it to others.
