I love how this book covers the different areas of self-care. It is not just a 'bubble-bath and mani-pedi' approach. I love how well-rounded it is with the various sides of taking care of ourselves and providing practical ways of building self-care can be built into our daily routine.

Mental health is a key topic in today's society, one that we all recognize and vital, and it can be overwhelming when you know you need some support but don't know where to turn. I really appreciated this listen - pointed and practical, the author covers five areas of everyone's life where you can identify issues or problems you are having, what they look like, how they feel, and what they really are. The explanations and examples are extremely helpful for identifying the what and why; then the how is beautifully done. Great questions and actions to take to help ease some of your problem areas, helping you to improve your outlook and care for yourself. As a life coach, this book and audiobook will now be included in my suggested activities for my clients. Well done!

I especially like her take on professional self-care rituals. She suggests things like mini commutes (a short walk before and after work to mentally separate spaces), intention-setting at the start of the day, and scheduled micro breaks to avoid hittin' burnout. I loved this part 'coz these aren't just ya know some trendy hacks.. it's a meaningful ways to reset and preserve boundaries.
