About this listen

In August 2015 bookmakers priced Leicester at 5000-1 to win the Premier League - the same odds as Elvis being found alive.

On 2 May 2016, Leicester won, to ecstatic celebrations in the city and around the world. Leicester Mercury 's chief football writer, Rob Tanner, relives the great escape of 2015 to the curtain-closer at Stamford Bridge.

Tanner's audiobook tells the inside story of Leicester City's triumph - and the players who under Claudio Ranieri's inspired leadership became the most unlikely champions in football history.

Not only the way that this book is insane is the way of it being told with it switching from a narrative to a review to a magazine. It was incredible. Knowing that rob is someone who has gone and seen all of this makes it all the more informative and helps you learn and take in more. Also it opens a window into the life of being a premier league journalist.

Incredible

Great story to hear. but why does the narrator try and mimic the players accents. seems slightly offensive

Good listen but why the accents?

I remember like it was yesterday. Incredible achievement what they did. Especially as the team’s down in England spends hundreds of millions yearly on players. But their sheer guts got them to winning the premiership.
