About this listen
A brilliantly claustrophobic and twisty thriller from the critically acclaimed author Catherine Ryan Howard.
No one even knew they were together. Now one of them is dead.
Fifty-six days ago. Ciara and Oliver meet in a supermarket queue in Dublin and start dating the same week COVID-19 reaches Irish shores.
Thirty-five days ago. When lockdown threatens to keep them apart, Oliver suggests they move in together. Ciara sees a unique opportunity for a relationship to flourish without the scrutiny of family and friends. Oliver sees a chance to hide who - and what - he really is.
Today. Detectives arrive at Oliver's apartment to discover a decomposing body inside.
Can they determine what really happened, or has lockdown created an opportunity for someone to commit the perfect crime?

"Catherine Ryan Howard has become my go-to writer for utterly absorbing, original stories with a killer twist and 56 Days delivers all this and more." (Jo Spain, number one best-selling author of The Confession)
"Clever, tender and all too convincing, it's the kind of book you read in one breathless setting to get to the truth." (Erin Kelly, author of He Said/She Said)
"An utterly brilliant and completely satisfying pageturner." (Catherine Kirwan)

About the story itself, well it's some depressing stuff, I did even find myself feeling terribly sad for both Ciara and for Oliver, I have no idea why some people are complaing about overly descriptive issues, this is normal for this genre, The story is fantastic and well worth a read or a listen (especially a listen as Alana Kerr Collins is a charming narrator) but it IS depressing and ultimately extremely sad .
Fabulous story and fabulous narration
