I really liked how Don related his life story in precise, excruciating and painful details: I was often wincing trying to imagine the terrible situation he was in but then elevated to the miraculous beauty of his description of heaven. He tries to capture an ‘out of this world’ experience with the limitations of human language and provides us with a glimpse of the heavenly. I’m so grateful to have rediscovered his book after reading it many years ago. It was a tremendous comfort then and remains so today.
