This was another great one by Denis E. Taylor. Found it while pre ordering Bobiverse 4.

Makes for a great intro and would love to hear more stories from this universe.

Hard to write a review, without giving away the plot - but this is a nice short story, with well defined characters, and a nice pace. The author has left himself quite a few follow and back fill opportunities - I hope he takes them.
