A Child of the Jago is both thriller and condemnation of social conditions in the East End slums at the turn of the century. Boy hero Dicky Perrott is at heart full of humane instinct but his environment ensures his down fall. Great story and brilliantly read. But the quality of recording was obviously old and would benefit from being remastered. Especially as it wasn’t a cheap buy

This is a brilliant story could not stop listening hanging on to every word . A very good twist at the end . I really enjoyed listening to it and it made me cry I felt I got to know the characters really well .
