A Christmassy tale of Fairy Faye and Alfie the Elf, who come to a busy town centre on Christmas Eve to see the festivities. This is a colourful and imaginative story, full of delightful, though some quite scary, characters. There is a good deal of drama, and the warm friendship between Faye and Alfie captures well the spirit of Christmas and how helping others can bring magical rewards. The story is expressively narrated.
