About this listen

Newly recorded for the 10th anniversary of A Court of Thorns and Roses

The 10th anniversary edition recording of the first book in the #1 bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from global phenomenon Sarah J. Maas, who handpicked narrator and friend Elizabeth Evans to bring these characters to life due to her intimate understanding of Sarah’s storytelling

Global phenomenon Sarah J. Maas’s sexy, richly imagined #1 bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series continues with the journey of Feyre’s fiery sister, Nesta.

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she’s struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can’t seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre’s Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta’s orbit. But her temper isn’t the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance—and healing—in each other’s arms.

After loosing my way with the series after A Court of Frost and Starlight (I digressed and read Quicksilver which was definitely worth it) I am so so glad I dived back in with this book. LOVED LOVED LOVED Cassian and Nestas story. Full of drama, romance and adventure this story gripped me from the first few pages. Granted I already had an affection for the characters having already read the first 4 books but this story was just a great change in pace. 5 stars ***** would deffo recommend.

Best out of the series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nesta’s growth through the book was at the perfect pace, how she went from self distinction to been one of the strongest characters was truly written well!
Oh and I cried so much near the end too 😭

Can’t wait for book 6 to come out 😁

Fantastic 🤩

This is my favourite in the series, I love Nesta and Cassian is the best Bat Boy for me, generally the pain, trauma, feeling worthless and overcoming it that Nesta goes through breaks me, it's personal and I think we can all see parts or more than parts of ourselves in Nesta and what she's coping with, I get that for some readers/listeners she can seem like marmite, but I feel her experiences hold a whole load of baggage and PTSD, if we knew that about someone in real life I hope we'd be supportive rather than condem them, and chapter 58 💗💔, then there's the relationship between Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie, the Valkyries (can't wait to see where that goes - I have my theories!) I just love the whole book and although I've gone through this series more times than I can count I feel sad to have finished again

Out of all previous narrators, I’ve enjoyed Stina Nielsen’s version of A Court of Silver Flames the most, but to have that continuation of Elizabeth Evan’s on the 10th anniversary editions? It was fantastic!

Happy 10th anniversary!

I loved them both - Stina Nielsen’s version and Elizabeth Evans’s 10th anniversary version!
