About this listen

Sarah J. Maas's sexy, richly imagined audio experience continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta.

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other's arms.

Performed by Colleen Delany, Natalie Van Sistine, Jon Vertullo, Aure Nash, Renee Dorian, Anthony Palmini, Melody Muze, Nora Achrati, Matthew Bassett, Shawn K. Jain, Wyn Delano, Danny Gavigan, Karenna Foley, Lucy Symons, David Jourdan, Amanda Forstrom, Gabriel Michael, Patrick Boylan, Michael John Casey, Laura C. Harris, Julienne Irons, Henry W. I absolutely loved every single book! I cried, I laughed and I loved it! Can’t wait for more. The performance was spot on. Music and sounds really makes you feel like you are right there in the story quietly witnessing.

Really great audio book & book, I’ve loved the whole series but the hood this one has on me is something else!

I have adhd so I find sitting still and reading difficult sometimes , especially when I have a lot to do, but having a great audio book with dramatisation helps me so much!

Honestly. Wow can’t wait for the next one 👀 Sarah 👀

Best book I have ever read,

This was actually about my fifth attempt to read this book, because I just couldn’t seem to get on with Nesta, HOWEVER.

When a friend finally started reading the books I suggested and blitzed through ACOTAR and then CC and wanted to talk about them… I had to stop her 🤣 I read no further than the second CC because I knew I needed to read this first, never got far into it.

But, BOOKBESTIE. So I decided to push through…

And by the time I was about 1/5 in, I was invested. I wanted to know where this was going, and by the end I lovvvvvved this book.

I think my issue was purely Nestas attitude, but reading this was an incredible journey of character development, and gaining understanding about her attitude, seeing her overcome challenges and learn to deal with her powers, to deal with her emotions.

The story was incredible, and I absolutely adore Cassian even more than I did. Some people commented on Feyre and Rhy, and seeing them from another light but i’ll be honest… i don’t see either of them any differently? And without spoilers, many commented about disliking him because of his choices in this, but again.. I don’t get it. He stayed true to his character, he was being protective not controlling, and I think people love to complain.

He made a difficult decision in a difficult situation, and tried to make the one that would ensure his mates happiness overall. And I got it to an extent. Why would he want her to be worried and tortured as he was? So, the animosity confuses me here.

I loved seeing all my favourite characters from different angles, and i loved seeing relationships shift and morph, some deepening and some overcoming hurdles.

Overall, i think this is the only time I have loved a book that has swapped MCs during the series, and I am suddenly very excited for the next book!

Surprisingly brilliant, love the Graphic audio!
