For a princess, becoming the savior of a nation could mean sacrificing love and life in this breathtaking conclusion to the epic Eye of the Goddess trilogy by USA Today bestselling author Sariah Wilson.

Princess Lia of Locris is the unlikeliest person to be Ilion’s defender. Once, she’d have gladly seen the entire adversarial nation burn. But much has changed. Ilion is home to too many innocents, including her sister. Besides, there is no escaping the goddess’s command. Lia is Ilion’s prophesied savior.

With that mortal obligation come rules: She must never consummate her marriage to Xander, prince of Ilion, lest she lose her powers of divine magic when she needs them most. Physically bonded to share each other’s pain, these former enemies have grown from merely attracted to something more profound. But what future can they have when Lia’s destiny requires sacrificing her life?

As enemies close in and war threatens everything they love, Lia and Xander must find a way to follow the goddess’s laws while also accepting the truth in their hearts—before the prophecy demands its final, fatal price.

Editorial Review

An ending for the ages
The final book of The Eye of the Goddess series is here, and I can’t believe that we are finally about to get the HEA that we (ok, ok that I) have been waiting for with these characters that I’ve grown to love so much. A Curse of Ashes picks up right after the events in A Vow of Embers with Lia and Xander working to figure out how they can escape the goddess’s command and navigate the VERY complicated feelings that they now have for each other. This is a romantasy, so we’re getting the happily ever after. The real journey here is how were getting there because at the start it seems almost impossible, and boy does Sariah Wilson deliver one last big adventure where we may see more than just one happily ever after. Therese Plummer who has excellently narrated the entire series returns to perform, which is the icing on this delicious last slice of cake . —Patty R., Audible Editor

How lovely was to listen to this beautiful book. I really enjoy this one I must say. Just write amount of spicy, right amount of fairytale, right amount of romance and right amount of suspense. Thank you.

This trilogy of books kept me going back and listening whenever I could.
This book completes endings started in the other two. Then brings everything to an end finishing the story, not leaving you guessing. Fabulous narration. Some of the chapters are a little raunchy, but needed for the story to unfold and letting you understand the characters.

I found this to be a great end to the series. The pacing was just right and I enjoyed that there was a good balance between action and character growth. The yearning that has been woven throughout the series between Lia and Xander is top tier and I found that when they finally got together it's in keeping with who their characters are. The narrator is so so good at doing multiple voices for the characters. Genuinely thought there were multiple actors for the first book and she did a great job conveying emotion without being over the top. It's such a great series and sad to be at the end of it! Will keep an eye out for anything this author puts out in future especially if it's in the fantasy genre!

Great Final Book of Lias Story

An easy to listen to romantasy. Nothing too complex, but the story keeps moving along nicely and is engaging enough.

Surprisingly good
