About this listen

What happens when you fall and hit the webtoons trope tree? You get killed by Truck-kun, get transported to a fantasy world by a sentient Fae coin, and become the first gay holy maiden.

Jake Alexander is Not Happy to be sure. Fortunately in Jake's case, part of the trope tree includes the gorgeous Duke of the North, Theon. And starting a business from scratch, which he's always wanted to do. And revitalizing his new country which is on the verge of collapse.

He could do without the killer miasma and corrupted kings and the singing magic and a sentient coin that doesn't shut up, however.

Jake's not sure if he should thank or melt the Fae coin into *ahem* something more useful.

Gay Holy Maiden is a part of the multi-author series, Fortune Favors the Fae. From spicy to sweet, zany romps to epic adventures, there's something for everyone in this mystical series. Discover destiny and true love and follow the coin on its fickle journey to the next world and a new magical adventure.

I picked this audio book on the strength of the blerb and title. I was disappointed that there was very little humour although the story was OK. I didn't think that the narrators really enhanced the experience either.

Interesting enough

Really fun listen. Diving straight into the next book. Great narration and engaging characters.

So I really loved this Audiobook, the only reason why I marked it as 4 stars for the performance is just because the voice actor for Jake sometimes strayed into stereotypical 'gay voice' and was sometimes a bit jarring in delivery.

otherwise, it's really quite funny and sweet and I loved the silliness of the story, mixed in with an interesting narrative. the 'Truck-Kun' shout outs had me laughing as I walked the dog and got me funny looks, but honestly it was worth it 😂

Cute, funny and sweet

When I read this book I just knew it would be awesome as an audible. The narrators were excellent; both of them suited the characters they portrayed. The story line was quirky and thoroughly enjoyable. Wish there was more in this ‘verse.

Loved it

there were tons of text that could very well been compressed to a couple of sentences. i gave up after a whole chapter on potatoes. why?

Lengthy, and a bit uneventful
