They lied, they lie, they will lie. This world is built on deception.

Our hero entered the store that fateful evening and became involved in a life-or-death game arranged by a mysterious creature. He survived, but instead of being on Earth, he now appeared to be in a different world, with other people who had passed a similarly deadly test. Some made it through by using force, some by using their cunning.... Everyone has their own story, but they all have one thing in common - there are no good people among them.

The world of Karik turned out to be akin to a game. In it, one can level up, grow stronger, even resurrect in case of failure. But if one makes a mistake of believing the wrong person, they will die for good. Will the magic that he needs to conceal, or maybe his patron, who seems incapable of telling the truth, help him? Who can say?

Honestly it’s a refreshing take and very enjoyable especially for a free book give it a try.

Worth the listen

I found the reader a little annoying with a Russia accent for all dialog. It g’ets better later on when you get uset to it.

The story is to the Dark side with almost no sympatic characters. It is fast paced, with the mc always in problems and trying to improve.

Lying and deception is important tools for the mc, and is as important as combat for the story.

So if you like Dark litRPG, with an mc to the more intelligent side, then this is good.

Voice is a little annoying But story ok

it really does keep you guessing all the way through, like what choices would you make? and the sanity of all characters I love the way it ended and would really recommend this book to those who looked for some uncovering and mystery along with the main character!!

thanks for writing the book Anton Emelianov and Sergei Savinov

and great narrating by Tristan Morris you had such amazing accents!

honestly awesome ending

A highly interesting world built with many intrigues an plots, some I missed but enjoyed, others I felt weren't touched upon more deeply, the Mc's weopon skill could be refined, and some plots I felt were missing and came out of nowhere near the end otherwise, I look forward to the sequel.

interesting

I won’t totally trash this rather weak copy of a now overly exposed story line. I appreciate the author is trying to put a twist on to a common theme but it simply doesn’t make it. The readers attempts at speaking in a Russian accent are simply laughable. The performer has a great natural voice so why utterly spoil it with yet another ‘Chekhov’ impersonation. OK as an ‘included’ title I guess some will like it but it will never make the ‘pay’ list.

A dull copy
