About this listen

A Happy Pocket Full of Money, first published in 2001, so impressed Rhonda Byrne, that she asked author David Cameron Gikandi to be the Creative Consultant on the global film phenomenon, The Secret.

True wealth is not about buckets of cash. True wealth is not about designer clothes. It is not about a new Mercedes. It is not about living in a palatial estate. True wealth is about discovering value within yourself and value within other people. It is about a kind of conscious living that incorporates gratitude, a belief in abundance, and the experience of joy. Based on the recent discoveries of theoretical physics and a close reading of inspirational classics of the last century, Gikandi creates a new model for the creation of personal wealth; a new model that shows readers how to create abundance by saving, giving, offering charity, and building happy relationships.

  • Learn to use an internal mantra to build wealth consciousness.
  • Practice conscious and deliberate thoughts and intentions.
  • Decide, define, and set goals you can believe in.
  • Practice gratitude, giving, and faith, and experience abundance and joy in your life.

"If you liked The Secret you will love this book. I highly recommend it." (Morris E. Goodman)

This book is an absolute must read for anyone who wants to work on the law of attraction. This goes beyond money, and delves into ways to make every aspect of your life abundant.

I first watched the Secret about 9 years ago, and have loved any similar philosophies since then. However, I always found visualisation very abstract and really struggled to believe what I am visualising as true. Gikandi is the first author that explained visualisation in a way I can practice authentically.

His links to quantum physics and the law of attraction really clicked for me, and was the parts of the puzzle I was missing previously.

I think everyone ought to listen to this book. It’s genuinely changed the way I look at life.

The narrator was very good too. Not robotic at all, sounded really interested in the material he was reading.

Best book I’ve read or listen to in years

Highly recommended to anyone at any point along their wealth creation journey. I love the mixture of science, practicality and spirituality.

Best book I've found on wealth creation.

Could’ve been read better by the narrator tho, or perhaps the many imperfections were intentional to make it more human and down to earth, in which case the former would say more about me and my expectations :) …nonetheless overall a good book with many timely reminders. Well done David!

Good book

Condenses ancient wisdom and the emerging discoveries of quantum science and its consequences in an engaging and actionable manner. This will be played over and over again.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audio book and would highly recommend it! The quantum physics chapter is a little heavy at the start of the book but bare with it, it’s so worth it, I had a lot of ‘Ah-ha’ moments.

Really interesting listen
