Excellent book, but this is Agatha Christie's "The Halloween Party", which has nothing to do with the so-called film "adaptation" that was released as "A haunting in Venice". Butchering a novel might be excusable if the resulting movie has its own merit. In this case, it stops at "butchering"....

So if you like this book, don't bother to watch the weird ghost-story the script-writer inexplicably constructed after reading Christie's novel. Never did a novel and a movie have less in common than in this case. How they got away with advertising the movie as an Agatha Christie adaptation, will probably always remain a mystery.
