This book is dark! I got sucked in from the very first chapter and each new character introduced just intrigued me more. I didnt' know which way this was going. Viola wears her psychopathic tendancies like a badge of honour which makes what she's going to do quite unpredictable. It's nice to have the FMC as the psychopathic main lead instead of the MMC for a change. My only criticism woud be that some words I thought were incorrectly pronounced based on the accent, but that could just be me.

Violent as h*ll, but oh so steamy and h*t.

This was my first Mallory Fox's book. This is the first book in A Violent Agenda Series, a dark whychoose serial killer, enemies to lovers romance. This is a good introduction to the series. Viola, Lorcan, Dino and Jude are interesting and enigmatic characters. Viola is a ruthless and crazy serial killer (angel of death). The story is original, unique, steamy, and raw, filled with violence, and twists and turns. The world building is imaginative, and intriguing. Hannah Hedley and Lucas Webley did a great job bringing this story to life.

A History Of Violence is book 1 in A Violent Agenda series. I've been searching for a series in the same type of vibes as the Mindf*ck series and this one delivered what I was looking for. It also had some Dexter and mafia vibes thrown in there which I really enjoyed. It is dark, graphic, gory and bloody, make sure to check triggers prior. The multiple POV’s made me even more addicted as I got to see into the minds of many of the characters. There is a lot going on with many twists and turns but it never felt overwhelming. I thought it was a well written storyline with a good plot that kept me guessing the entire time.

Viola is a female assassin and she is freaking bad*ass. She is fearless, says what's on her mind, doesn't take crap from no one and is just a girl on a mission. I freaking loved her. The men also all have their distinct personalities and I am excited to see where it goes in the next installment. The ending definitely left me craving for more, I just need to know what will happen !!

Overall, this was a really good dark read. It's twisted, messed up and deranged but I was here for it! It was so addictive and I couldn't put it down, diving into the next one!

🎧 The narration by Hannah Hedley & Lucas Webley was good. I did have to get used to their accent in the beginning, but once I did I was hooked. They played multiple characters, they had the right tones and emotions. It was a fun audio production.

Mallory Fox is a new to me author and omg I am so glad I took a chance on this. I freaking loved this book! It was everything I love in a dark romance and more...

Viola was everything I needed her to be in this book. She was this serial killer assassin with the most amazing personality, sassy and strong as hell and I was instantly in love with her from the get-go! Her boys? Well, they were icing on what was already something perfect, a well-written story. I loved listening to how the boys were with Viola. The bonds they all had. It all made for such an incredibly dark, disturbed, unputdownable and addictive read.

I am so happy I discovered Mallory. I feel like she is going to become a fast favourite.

I will most definitely be reading/listening to the rest of this author's backlist!
