I gave up on vampire stories years ago, buried under an avalanche of brooding, sexy eternal teenagers complaining about being immortal superheroes and staring longingly at one another.

This story is filled with actual personal challenge, something to BE angsty about, death, tragedy... and above all, interesting events! Worth anyone's time.

Oh man I love this series. Had a hard time getting into it, thinking the voice was a bit weird and the chapters aren’t great as you’re very confused and not really understanding what’s happening.

However when you finally started to understand what was going on it was a fun ride until the end. Voice fits very well and can’t wait for the next audiobook to release.

I nearly quit this one after the first few chapters, but thankfully I didn't. Around chapter five I was engrossed with the MC's journey and I realised this book is a gem
