Kitty Talbot needs a fortune. Love is not required…

She’s got just twelve weeks to find a rich husband and save her sisters–and she must use every ounce of cunning and ingenuity she possesses to climb London society if she is to succeed.

Critic reviews

"This book captivated me. What a sassy, witty, delicious tale. Kitty Talbot is a fabulous, fearless heroine." (Sophie Kinsella, The Party Crasher)

"A thoroughly modern heroine with wit, style and energy…a formidable Austentacious talent." (Janice Hallett, The Appeal)

"Plucky, witty and bright, with one dainty slipper poised in the present and another one firmly rooted in the past. Readers of Jane Austen and fans of Bridgeton will swoon." (Nita Prose, author of The Maid)

Not the type of book I would normally listen to but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The narrator was really good and it had a nice meandering story line. Nice relaxing listen. Highly recommend.

Easy listening with enjoyable plot. Wonderful characters, humorous and exaggerated.

The underlying message is however, timeless- acceptance of others for who they are, irrelevant of wealth or status
