Great to hear Finn Fitzpatrick back in action in this super sequel from Catherine Kirwan. Eileen Walsh’s well crafted narration brings both the characters and vivid imagery to life. A great combination making for a great story well told.

I loved the trio down memory lane, it was interesting to hear the changes to the campus described as if by a tour guide but as an ex UCC girl, I was back there again, walking every step with Finn.

Catherine Kirwan’s three Finn Fitzpatrick novels so far are really excellent, though I have my doubts that a Cork solicitor could realistically engage in the sort of sleuthing that Finn engages in!

Excellent writing, stories and atmospherei

You will know the topography of Cork, all the best coffee shops, and the UCC campus in particular having read this book. A great yarn, a genuine believable character/solicitor/investigator in Finn Fitzpatrick and interesting characters from all over the country and down under. The beginning is a bit slow as the murder scene around UCC is laid out. But then it takes off into a satisfying read, addressing themes such as the legal process, the Gardai, adoption, international corruption along the way.
