I enjoyed this book. This is a fun ghost series, although it does touch on the difficult subject of losing someone due to covid, which might not be to everybody's taste. I did think it was nicely done and despite being sad, not overly upsetting. The story has a lot going on and is kind of like lots of small stories that make up one longer story. There is plenty of human drama as well as ghostly problems to keep it interesting, such as relationship difficulties and starting school. I loved the characters and the unusual situations they find themselves in, especially little Suzie and at book ten we have come to know the characters very well. I can't wait for the next book.
Becky in her role as medium finds herself helping the living nearly as much as the ghost seeking her help. In this case she is left in charge of a special young girl, Suzie, while her mother goes to look after a sick mother. Suzie has her own gift and as a consequence she has all ways be home schooled. Can the pair of them convince her mother going to school is what she needs? At the same time Becky's brother Bobby is having relationship troubles. Can she find the time figure him the advice he needs or is she to busy helping a young woman who has lost all her family? Then a friend dies and Becky has to help his cousin learn to accept her abilities before he can move on. Its hard times for everybody but with so many people needing her can Becky help everyone?
I liked the narrator. She uses a different voice for each character making the story easy to follow.
