Summary

The body of a young woman is found by a river outside Belfast and Detective Sergeant Ryan McBride makes a heart-wrenching discovery at the scene, a discovery he chooses to hide even though it could cost him the investigation—and his career.

The victim was a loner but well-liked. Why would someone want to harm her? And is her murder connected to a rapist who's stalking the local pubs? As Ryan untangles a web of deception and lies, his suspects die one by one, leading him to a dangerous family secret and a murderer who will stop at nothing to keep it.

And still, he harbors his secret . . .

Since I have only read a few chapters, it is really unfair to say too much, but I found it’s pretty boring and uninspiring/uninteresting. however, I have to comment on a previous review, comparing the reader, to brackets a young Ian Paisley). This person obviously thinks that every northern Irish accent sounds like Ian Paisley, and though the reader was on the boring side his accent was quite normal and without any fire or brimstone.

Uninspiring

Haven’t read this author before. Liked that the main characters have caught your attention and want you to read the next instalment.
Twists and turns in the plot. Looking forward to book 2 .

I am hooked …..

This book is spoiled by the narrator he shouts rather than speaks like a young Ian Paisley (for those of you old enough to remember). He was such a distraction even his characters didn't become real and so the story was lost. This is probably a better read than audio. Not recommended.

Awful narration
