I enjoyed this book but like the rest of the books in the series I wish it would have been longer. This book continues from where the last book left of with Pat's daughters coming for a visit. I like the fact that even though there were new characters introduced they were just like there mother and was soon knee deep into the investigation. Just like having a younger Pat and Shirley investigating, very similar brash and to the point styles. The mystery was interesting and kept you guessing over not only who the killer was but also the intended victim. The story unfolds nicely with mystery drama and humour. I hope the author has plans for more stories, I just hope they are slightly longer to keep the fun going.
With her two daughters and there children home for the holidays Pat arranges a girl's night out. The show goes of without a hitch apart from the understudy having to step up and it is only in the morning that they discover any the leading lady was a no show. The famous star was found dead from an allergic reaction. Was it an accident or murder? Pat and Shirley are on the case can they find the killer and enjoy Christmas?
I like the narrator, she uses some distinct voices to bring the characters to life.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
