Would you listen to A Place of Secrets again? Why?

I certainly would. It was not only a great story but also it's awoken an interest in stargazing!

What other book might you compare A Place of Secrets to, and why?

I have never read a book similar to compare.

What about Jilly Bond’s performance did you like?

She was excellent. She made the characters come to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!

Any additional comments?

This book and all the other Rachel Hore books I have read are all written to a very high standard with great stories.

A Labyrinth of Intrige

I was sadly disappointed by this book which I started with much enthusiasm.
The story could have been a third shorter and Jude and her family had an irritatingly over inflated sense of their own charm and importance when out staying their welcome at Starborough Hall.
The narration was good although the voices of the children and Jude really began to grate.
Sadly didn't enjoy it and didn't care whether the mystery was solved or what happened to the characters.

Sadly too drawn out with irritating characters and narration

I loved subtle & understated supernatural stories. This book is well researched, incredibly entertaining, well written & well performed. Maybe if JB had spoken just the slightest little bit slower, but otherwise brilliantly executed reading of a supremely gifted author's book.

Mesmerising story interlaced either most delicate threads of the supernatural.

First time I read this author and really enjoyed the story. It was quite intriging, well written and well narrated. I found it difficult to put down and will certainly look for other books by Rachel Hore. Can highly recommend!
