About this listen

A Popular History of Ireland, a detailed yet comprehensive look at Ireland’s Christian history, was written by Thomas D’Arcy McGee, a Canadian-Irish politician, journalist, and poet, whose private and professional life was as eventful and perilous as many of eras chronicled in this book. Being involved heavily in various Irish Catholic movements, the Irish Confederation, and the Young Irelander Rebellion throughout the mid-19th century, McGee’s insight into Ireland’s past is fascinating.

The narrator should be shot for crimes against the Irish state. 1 minute in and he's mispronounced the name of the author (De Arsey), as well as two of the provinces. Whoever hired him, as well as those that proof listened (if they exist) should consider a career change.

Less than a minute in and its despicable

I only managed to tolerate 18 minutes of this audio book before turning off. Irish books need an Irish narrator, or at least one who researches how to say basic words like *Lough* and *Cuchulainn*

Terrible pronunciation
