Wow! John Connolly brings it again. A superb, gritty, and well written book. I find myself wanting more but I can feel the end of the tale approaching. What a saga ... can't wait for the next installment.

the story has a solid A plot with a conspiracy of murderers and with the B plot, brings the lore ( always the best part of this series) up and moves it forwards. the performance is warm and engaging without blunting the unease and horror.

Listened to this whilst reading the book, another fantastic story in the CP series. Again the best narration by Jeff Harding made the story come alive even more for me. If I’m reading I always hear Jeff Hardings voice now. Will be listening again.

Another fantastic Charlie Parker story

Perhaps the best thing about the Charlie Parker series are the well developed ancillary characters. This book does not disappoint, good use of both Angel and Louie and the Fulchi brothers take a small but key star turn. Was not as crazy scary occult wise as earlier books but just as frightening with creepy humans causing trauma and devastation. Definitely recommended.
