Widowed Kate Everett is looking forward to starting her "second act". She’s planned out everything that she wants - a new house, a new job, maybe even a new man. She can’t wait until everything falls into place.

But life has a way of butting in, and Kate soon finds herself dealing with unexpected houseguests, helping her daughter plan the world’s smallest wedding, and sudden unemployment. Things get even more complicated with the reappearance of her old college love, Jake. He realizes the mistake he made years ago in letting her go, and is eager to win her back.

Would you consider the audio edition of A Slight Change of Plan to be better than the print version?

If I'd have got the actual book I think I'd probably have gotten bored and given up, as I'd paid for the audio version though I kept with it, It was nice, with nice characters, and it was very easy to listen to.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Narration was okay, apart from the men's voices, that was really very off putting for me, I didn't like those bits at all, it was just weird.

Any additional comments?

Very easy to listen to, very nicely written, not seat of your pants exciting, I'd recommend to my older female relatives, they'd enjoy the pace of it.

I loved the story, the performance and I have to say literally laughed out loud amd snorted and chuckled several times! Excellent book!

This was an easy listen, not too taxing and perfect for a beach read.

I did get a little bored in places but other parts were laugh at loud funny.
