Not bad and enjoyed the female narrator as they are rare. But feel the script could be more well.. , well written. At some point I started counting the "however"s in the sentences and that lost me.

The MC does take a little bit to warm up to, but she is 15.. so some slack given. It's a nice change of pace from a lot series I am currently reading with constant conflict and high stakes. I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

Narrator is not someone I was familiar with, but will look out for future books she is narrating, as she was pleasant to listen to and had a decent amount of voice differentiation, so it's nice and clear who is who.
Though I'm not so sure about the Conservative RP accent for the system 😅

Interesting magic system which main character investigates. Initially put off by young age of MC but shy proves to be an interesting intelligent person. Story developing well.

Good story overall, but you could make a good drinking game out of the amount of times they say 'her heart'

Great concept, but the pacing and constant transitional adverbs made it hard to stay engaged. I found myself forgetting large chunks of the story even while listening. This had a lot of potential, but for the reasons I stated, it just did not land for me.
